Our Commitment To Seniors And The Uninsurable

The first thirty (30) years of my work life were dedicated to manufacturing management. After relocating to Tennessee in 1982 from snow infested Buffalo, New York, and a few more years in manufacturing, I decided to look into a new career. Something with little or no politics involved. I decided on a career in Life Insurance. That was nearly fifteen (15) years ago. Guess what. There is politics in Life Insurance too!

I was blessed when first being exposed to my new career. My General Agent took me under his wing and taught me many valuable lessons. The one that sticks most in my mind to this very day is Service. Service to your fellow man. He used to say, “Ninety percent of the work you will do is Service Related and the remaining ten percent will be Sales”. There is no higher purpose than service to others. Place the needs of your clients above those of your own and your needs will be taken care of too.” I know that this sounds corny and that you have probably heard it many times but that is the fundamental philosophy under which the Rados Insurance Agency was founded and under which it functions today.

I originally worked for a company that claimed to take care of its members. I was the top Agent in the State of Tennessee. I enjoyed a good income, went on several incentive trips and was being considered for the General Agent position. Life was good. Then I quit. To this day, I am ostracized by many people that I thought were my friends. But my decision to quit goes right back to the fundamental philosophy that I adopted.

My decision to quit was prompted by one of my clients, a Senior citizen. He applied for a small policy to help with final expenses. He had a few health issues but I felt that they were not serious enough to deny him the protection he was seeking. He was denied the coverage. He was denied the right to leave a “Legacy of Love” to his family. I could not accept the explanation for the denial given to me by that company. I decided to do something about this case and others similar cases that I experienced. I found a company that granted the insurance protection he sought at Standard Rates. On July, 8th of this year, this client passed away.

I feel a special bond to this client and to his family. He was one of the reasons that I decided to create the Rados Insurance Agency. Today, we represent nearly thirty (30) companies that provide some of the lowest cost Term Insurance in the country, Whole Life Insurance, Universal Life Insurance, High Yield Annuities, Medicare Supplements and Health Insurance.

My passion has been and always will be for Seniors and the Uninsurable. The Uninsurable are those clients that have been denied Life Insurance protection for various health related reasons. Often out of frustration, these clients accept the label “Uninsurable” and simply give up. However, I have repeatedly proven that these clients are in fact, Insurable.

I have one company that will insure anyone between the ages of 40 to 80 for up to $50,000 with “absolutely no medical questions”. I recently insured a 53 year old mentally challenged woman for $10,000. Her mother held the pen in her hand while she made her mark on an application. In another case, I insured a 47 year old HIV positive man for $10,000. In yet another case, I insured a man with Cirrhosis of the liver and Type 1 Diabetes (Insulin Shots) for $10,000.

I have another company that will insure clients between the ages of 0 through 85 for up to $25,000. I found a client at our local Wal*Mart store in Smyrna. In fact, I find many clients at Wal*Mart. Several of the Associates are also clients of mine. My approach to a prospect is, “I think that I might be able to help you”.

This particular client explained to me that at age 34 she had absolutely no life insurance. She further explained that she had a heart valve replacement fourteen (14) years earlier and as a result she was turned down by every insurance company she contacted. She was totally frustrated with insurance companies. I convinced her to let me try. I was able to insure her for $25,000 at Preferred Rates. Her monthly premium is less than $35.00.

My General Agent also used to say, “There is no greater feeling you can have than to deliver a check to a Beneficiary on a policy that you have written.” He was so right. I have proven this many, many times. I am currently sixty four (64) years old and on February 7, 2008, Lord willing, I will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of my 15th birthday. I love what I do and have no plans for retirement.

The Rados Insurance Agency and its Agents are committed to the philosophy of allowing its clients to leave a “Legacy of Love” to their families. If you are a licensed Agent and are willing to serve and not be served, please contact us for an outstanding opportunity to work on a part time or full time basis. If you are an Agent that is seeking to line your pockets with other peoples money, please find another career or go to the competition.
